LED Color Changes After LGP

From the past work experience, we can see from the following two facts that LGP has changed the color of LED light panel:

1. The light guide plate absorbs blue light and the color temperature of the whole LED light panel will be lower than the color temperature of the LED bead.

This conclusion can be seen from the integrating sphere test report: when the LED bead is tested alone, there will be some blue light at 400-480NM in the spectrum, but after the light guide plate is used to install the entire LED light panel, we will find that the blue part of the spectrum is only a little, and the color temperature also changes. Although the amount of blue light before the two is different, it can be explained from the side that the light guide plate absorbs blue light.

2. Occasionally, we find that the color difference of the customized LED panel is not caused by the color difference of the LED bead. The color difference of the light panel still exists after the LED strip on edges is replaced. The raw materials and processing technology of the light guide plate may cause the color difference.

Cautions:

We need to pay special attention to the replacement LED panels or separate orders for same project, and some projects with very high requirements.
